I was a former legendary homicide detective in the San Francisco Police Department, my obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), severely intensified by the death of my wife, interfered with my job, resulting in a still-current suspension from the department. I still work along the force as a private consultant.

I have an uncanny ability to reconstruct entire crimes based on little more than scraps of detail that seem unimportant (if noticed at all) by my colleagues.

I have a father, half brother and brother who I don't see if at all.

My Phobias include: breads,bridges, clowns, chickens, childbirth, children, untidness, dogs, driving, enclosed spaces, drowning, flying, frogs, glaciers, lepers, lighting, public speaking, nudity, reproduction, risks, redoes, smells, sitting in the back seat of the car, spiders, urine, wind, food touching other food, garbage, illness, sexual intercourse, earthquakes, snakes, milk, needles, crowds, elevators, mushrooms, death, soccer roits, and hail stones
